My consultations cost £200, which then serves as your deposit if you decide to go ahead and book me. This fee covers our 90 minute consultation, and allows me to put together what’s fondly been christened ‘the proposal of dreams’ for you, including detailed hand-drawn sketches and tons of information, so you can see your bespoke wedding flowers blossoming and taking shape before your eyes.
The floral designs for your wedding will be completely bespoke and extremely detailed. This isn’t about grabbing images from Pinterest and recreating them in slightly different colour ways – far from it. Your in depth design consultation will really dig deep about the vision you have for your wedding flowers, the things you love most about each other, and the things that make you happy. All of these will play a part in the way I design for you.
The Wedding Flower Design Process

Step 1: Say hello!
Get in touch via the enquiry form on my contact page, and send me as much information about your wedding plans as you can.

Step 2: Get inspired
I’ll send you an initial lookbook showcasing some of my recent and most favourite wedding flowers. This isn’t supposed to act as a prescriptive catalogue for you to select from, rather as a taster of what’s possible and to get you feeling excited and fired up about your flowers.

Step 3: Let's chat
This is a chance for us to virtually catch up, get to know each other and make sure we are the right fit. Floral design is such a personal expression of a very special brief. Choosing the right florist for you is important to ensure your vision comes to life. Whilst I am sure we can do that for you I want you to be sure and that you have full trust in the process.

Step 4: Book your consultation
If I’m available for your wedding date, I'll schedule your personalised bespoke floral design consultation with you.. Your £200 consultation/deposit fee is payable at this stage. Before our design consultation I’ll send you a questionnaire to fill in which will help to give me some initial direction about what you’re looking for.

Step 5: Let the ideas grow!
It’s consultation time. We’ll spend around 90 minutes together chatting all things flowers, and sharing the things that are most important to you. Tell me about the music you’re planning for the day, where you’re headed on honeymoon, the favourite memories and moments in your love story, and other key elements that reflect your style as a couple. Inspiration can spark in the most surprising of places, so don’t worry about going off on tangents – I want to get to know you and what makes you tick!

Step 6: Your bespoke wedding flower proposal
I’ll put together a seriously detailed proposal for your bespoke weddlng flowers, using lots of sketches, images, information about the focal flower choices, an easy-to-follow pricing breakdown and info on how to confirm your booking with me.

Step 7: A venue site visit
Either with you, or independently (depending on your schedules), I’ll arrange a site visit to get a real feel for the spaces available to flower. It’s always helpful to walk through a space, to find the hidden-gem locations within a venue and work out any logistical challenges with installations.

Step 8: Refining and tweaking
With about 12 weeks to go until your wedding day, we’ll have another meeting in person or on Zoom to finalise the plans and make any necessary refinements.

Step 9: The wedding day!
It’s finally here! My team and I will liaise with your venue to arrange access and set up all your flowers, exactly as planned. I’ll hand deliver your bouquet (and give you an excited hug), and will return the next day to clear down everything and leave the venue looking pristine.

Our wedding floral design studio is based in York, North Yorkshire. We cover the whole of Yorkshire, Cheshire and the north of the UK.
